Discover My Free 3D Planetary Defense Game

I am really loving AI agentic software development. You can do so much more, so quickly!

AI development has really brought back a lot of the joy in programming for me. I now avoid starting a side project and toiling on setup. I bypass boilerplate stuff and structure. I now work with the agent directly and move very fast.

I didn’t have to worry about NodeJS frameworks, or if I was fluent enough with Three.JS. I might not be fluent enough. But, it doesn’t matter because the AI Agent is fluent. I can tell it what to do in plain English.

As a highly experienced developer, I know exactly what is needed. I have the expertise to inform the agent of exactly what I want in use case and technical terms. This allows me to get great results fast. This is a skill developers will have to learn and grow if they want to continue to be relevant.

I tend to use Replit extensively for development now. I also use Cursor AI, Grok, and ChatGPT regularly. Many other AI tools support my work or are used for development. It’s so fun and amazing!

Wow, I guess it’s been 17 years now since the iPhone dropped and I started developing for it. One of my earliest games went by various titles but ended up being Outpost Titan. The game is long gone from the App Store as it’s based on an iOS version from antiquity.

But, at its core, the game was a tower defense game in 2D. It was fun, got mid-5 figure downloads and was a great learning experience.

Now, I’ve taken the same concept and took it further! 3D Planetary Defense is a new 3D space based “tower defense” game. In Planetary Defense, your job is to defend your planet from endless waves of enemy ships. How? By placing various weapons in orbit around the planet to take out the attackers.

I think the game came out pretty well for a hobby project. I plan to enhance it further, but please feel free to give it a try. Its 100% free and runs in any modern web browser.
